The bulk of this fortune originates from his illustrious playing career, which spanned successful tenures at Benfica, Fiorentina, and AC Milan. During his peak years at Milan, he commanded one of the highest salaries for a midfielder, reportedly earning €4 million annually. Although his move to Benfica in 2006 involved a reduced salary, he eventually transitioned into directorial roles before assuming the presidency in 2021. As the current president, his compensation includes a modest base salary supplemented by performance-based bonuses tied to the club's achievements. Additional wealth stems from endorsement partnerships with major brands such as Nike and Pepsi, which were particularly lucrative during his active playing days. Costa has also diversified his portfolio through real estate investments in Portugal and Italy, along with holding a stake in a sports management firm. His financial standing reflects earnings from his career and strategic investments, excluding any significant inheritance or windfalls, and supports a lifestyle sustained by his ongoing executive role and past savings.[แก้ไข]
