While Matheus Cunha commands a substantial following across social platforms, his audience operates as a dispersed collective rather than a formally organized entity with a specific name or ritualistic traditions. Reports confirm no structured fan campaigns, funded billboard projects, or unique chants originating from a named group exist for the player, distinguishing his support base from those of global pop icons who rely on grassroots mythology. His 2.5 million Instagram followers and broader digital footprint reflect engagement driven by match performance and personal lifestyle content rather than dedicated fandom infrastructure. Despite this lack of formal organization, his standing in the global consciousness remains robust and statistically significant within the iFANN Global Fame Rankings. As of August 2026, the data places him as the 40th most famous person in Brazil, a position he has held steady since the previous cycle. This national prominence translates to a regional influence where he ranks as the 13th most famous person from Brazil, maintaining consistent visibility across South American media markets. These metrics are derived from the iFANN Global Fame Rankings, which track attention through global media coverage, search activity, and consumption signals worldwide without relying on arbitrary popularity contests. The consistency of these figures suggests a stable, enduring reputation that transcends fleeting viral moments. His status is further cemented by his role as a key attacker for Manchester United and the Brazilian national team, ensuring his name appears regularly in top-tier sports discourse. While he lacks a specific fanbase designation, the sheer volume of his social reach and the high ordinal rankings indicate a figure of considerable public interest who commands respect and attention without needing the theatrical trappings of a cult following.[แก้ไข]

Beyond his on-pitch achievements, Cunha holds a statistical legend in the Premier League as the Brazilian player with the highest goal tally in a single season, a fact he highlighted on his social media. During the 2026 World Cup, he delivered a legendary performance by scoring two goals in Brazil's decisive 3-0 victory over Haiti, effectively ending their tournament run. This display earned him widespread acclaim as a saviour for the national side. In another notable incident from that campaign, he engaged in a public verbal confrontation with Japanese players regarding the level of competition, issuing a sharp five-word taunt to Kento Shiogai that went viral.
