Lucas commands a distinct layer of global attention that bridges specific regional markets and broader international recognition, a footprint measured by the iFANN Global Fame Rankings. In August 2026, this reach places him as the 48th most famous person in C-Pop / Mandopop, holding steady from the previous cycle. His standing reflects sustained engagement across media coverage, search trends, and consumption signals worldwide. While his solo career maintains momentum, his historical impact within the group era remains a primary driver of this visibility. The dedicated community supporting his work is identified by the name Lumi, a designation documented in official records. Although Lucas was previously integrated into the larger NCTzen collective, the emergence of Lumi signifies a consolidated identity for those following his independent trajectory and legacy. This fanbase continues to engage with his music and public appearances, distinguishing their support from general idol fandoms through specific focus on his solo projects and personal brand.[แก้ไข]

Lucas, born Wong Yuk-hei, carries several enduring nicknames among fans, including Giant Baby and Lucas Bieber. He holds the distinction of being one of the few SM trainees accepted after a single audition. Born in Hong Kong, his mother tongue is Cantonese, though he acquired Mandarin and Korean fluency upon relocating to Korea. During his tenure with WayV, he shared living quarters with WinWin, Xiaojun, and Hendery. His representative emojis are widely recognized as either a dog or a lion. Growing up, he resided in the same neighborhood as Jackson Wang of GOT7. Beyond these biographical details, two narratives define his public lore. The first centers on his reputation as a "Visual God," where his dance performances in tracks like "Kick Back" and "Black On Black" went viral globally, drawing international audiences who might not otherwise have engaged with K-pop. The second narrative involves the October 2019 allegations regarding inappropriate conduct toward staff and fans. This event led to an indefinite suspension by SM Entertainment and became a defining moment in modern K-pop history, often cited as the incident that abruptly altered his career trajectory before his eventual departure and solo debut.[แก้ไข]
