He is the only man in history to win both an Olympic gold medal in wrestling and a world championship in professional wrestling. Another iconic moment occurred during his 1999 WWE debut, where he defeated Bret Hart in a match that showcased his seamless transition from amateur to pro wrestling, meeting with extraordinary crowd reactions. Fans also retell the story of his WrestleMania 21 match against Shawn Michaels, where Angle revealed in recent interviews that Michaels went ten minutes over time, causing Angle to fear the heat upon returning to the locker room. This anecdote highlights the physical toll he endured and adds to the narrative of his dedication.
