The collective audience for Kofi Kingston is inextricably bound to the legacy of The New Day, a faction whose supporters are widely recognized as one of the most organized and positive forces in professional wrestling history. While no single official moniker exists exclusively for his individual following, these fans operate under the banner of the group's core philosophy, often identifying through slogans like It's a New Day or the informal acronym NDE. This community distinguishes itself through synchronized chants, coordinated light shows at live events, and aggressive social media mobilization that has historically influenced major booking decisions. Their rituals include the signature hand gestures performed whenever the trio appears and a deep commitment to charity drives initiated by the wrestlers. Kofi maintains direct accessibility with this base, fostering a relationship often described as that of a big brother figure after two decades of tenure.

His standing in the broader cultural landscape reflects this sustained relevance and historic achievement. In the specific domain of athletics and performance, he is ranked the 47th most famous person in Pro Wrestling, also holding steady. Kofi Nahaje Sarkodie-Mensah holds the distinction of being the first Ghanaian-born wrestler to sign with WWE. His finishing maneuver, the Trouble in Paradise, is a spinning roundhouse kick known for its precision. Beyond the ring, he is a multi-instrumentalist capable of playing both drums and guitar. Early in his career, he was part of the independent tribute team known as The Dude Busters. He is also noted for creative Royal Rumble eliminations, utilizing ring steps or jumping from the turnbuckle to avoid touching the floor.

A central pillar of his modern legend is the victory at WrestleMania 35, where he defeated Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Universal Championship. This event marked the first time an African-born wrestler held a world title in the company, culminating a long-term fan campaign that pushed for his main event inclusion. Another element of his folklore involves the Boogaloo, a move that has transcended standard athletic feats to become a visual shorthand for his agility, with stories circulating about him performing it from impossible heights. The formation of The New Day around 2014 further cemented his status, creating a "funny face" faction that disrupted traditional dynamics and achieved six-time Raw Tag Team Championship reigns.[แก้ไข]
