Hardstone Psycho

A whispered invocation opens the fourth studio album from Don Toliver, setting a tone that balances woozy synth ballads with rattling trap beats. Released on June 14, 2024, through Cactus Jack Records and Atlantic Records, Hardstone Psycho arrives just over a year after his previous project Love Sick. The 16-track record showcases Toliver's vocal range, shifting effortlessly between a croon and a bark across a soundscape defined by its varied production.

Metro Boomin, Southside, F1lthy, Ojivolta, Cash Cobain, and Wonda all contributed to the album's sonic landscape. Tracks like Kryptonite utilize skeletal drums while Purple Rain drifts on hazy guitar loops. Guest appearances remain sparse but impactful, featuring Travis Scott on Ice Age, Charlie Wilson and Cash Cobain on Attitude, and SoFaygo closing out the standard edition on Insides.

Four singles preceded the full release: Bandit in February, Deep in the Water in March, Tore Up in April, and Attitude in May. The project debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 with 95,500 album-equivalent units in its first week. It also secured the top spot on both the Top Rap Albums and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. A deluxe edition arrived later on October 16, 2024, adding six new tracks including Lovely and alternate versions. [แก้ไข]
