Colombia's President Abelardo de la Espriella just signed a decree ending the nationwide suspension on carrying firearms. He stated the previous firearm restrictions were too limiting for law-abiding citizens while criminals illegally armed themselves to the hilt. The new policy still requires permits and does not allow unlimited carry but it is a step in the right direction towards more law-abiding citizens being armed. Colombia's security cannot continue to be built by disarming the law-abiding citizen and leaving the bandits armed. That has to change exactly. President Abelardo de la Espriella is scheduled to meet with Secretary Rubio. EL TIGRE called this the way forward because Colombia made the right choice by electing this man. More people should be armed to counter criminals.
