What we've seen in seven minutes with Wile E. Coyote and Roadrunner is just the surface. What happens when he goes home? When he punches out that time card and staring at his plans and he's like hungry, you know, like what what is that life? You really sink even even into a deeper like, oh, I feel bad for this guy that I've known just to give me laughs. Now I'm actually having real feelings for this cartoon coyote. Exactly. That was like one of our biggest goals was to create empathy for this character that I've only kind of known on a surface level. I remember like a line in the script after Wiley gets blown up in one of his first scenes. The line says like, and this is the part we have never seen before. And like Wiley pushes himself up, body completely burnt and singed from the day, bones crackling as he gets out of the hole and like crawls to his cave and looks in the mirror at his injuries from the day. And that had to be the beginning of the movie and the beginning of our empathy for this character, which was how do we create a world where we truly care about who he is and what he wants?
