I remember having a conversation with my dad years ago. He told me, eventually you're going to get to a point in your career where you're going to have to fight these fights. You can't just be running around and fighting people you know you're going to beat. And I wanted to fight the best, and when they told me a 20-year-old guy, I was like, perfect, let's do it. Konzo has never been stopped. Other fighters probably wouldn't have taken that fight. Very interesting fight. Both guys came out differently than expected. Cardenas started to pick it up on the inside. Oh! I think he's literally world champion materially. I won and I broke the guy's jaw. Oh yeah, you can see his jaw. After that fight, I had way more eyes on him. To be a world champion, that's my ultimate goal. They'd carry on top of everything. Once I win the title, that chapter would close and I can finally say I'm competing for myself now.
