Nobody would ever take me seriously again after I had a love scene with a duck. I figured from the very beginning that it was my job to make the audience believe in Howard. So I just committed. We were doing a comedy. That's what it's all about. Oh, I loved all those evil reviews and all those mean things people said and all the jokes that I've had to listen to for the rest of my life. Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And a lot of people really do come up to me and tell me that they like the movie. I don't think it's the greatest movie, but some people... I like Howard's Duck.
