Trump Greenland deal with Denmark

Denmark and the US have reached an agreement, and the terms are striking. American military power in Greenland can be kept up and grown, and it costs the US nothing. President Trump says the security arrangement there is permanent. What that means in practice: no rival nation gets to plant bases or station forces on Greenland soil, and no sensitive investments go through without Washington signing off first. There is no end date on any of it, which is why Trump calls it an "Infinite Life" agreement. A large American military footprint is next, built out with Greenland's own people involved in the development and construction. That is a serious piece of ground to lock down for good.
