Jules Koundé laid it out bluntly: footballers can go six months or a whole year without getting paid and still live comfortably. That’s not the reality for people who leave home at 7 in the morning and return at 8 at night just to earn a small amount for their families. He doesn’t get why fans treat players as role models and wouldn’t recommend it, the actual role model is the father working hard every day for his family.
