Every time the World Cup comes around, this debate unfortunately resurfaces, so it's important to clarify: the French national team is composed predominantly of players born in France. In other words, they are French. Only four players were born outside the country: Mike Maignan (born in French Guiana), Marcus Thuram (born in Italy), and two others.
