What happened is a refereeing scandal that will go down in World Cup history. It started with the disallowing of a legitimate Croatia goal for offside, after the frame was manipulated to show the ball leaving the play. Then, a second correct Croatia goal was also disallowed. The VAR footage was tampered with in a stupid and deliberate way.
