Global democracy map EIU

For the first time in eight years, the global decline in democracy appears to be slowing. According to the latest Democracy Index from the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), nearly 75% of countries either improved or remained stable over the past year, marking the first meaningful pause in the downward trend since it began. Norway continues to top the rankings.
