Octopus crawling on sandy floor
@thewildWhen an octopus swims, its main heart actually stops beating. Two of the three hearts pump blood to the gills while the third circulates through the rest of the body. That shutdown means they get tired way too fast. Because of that fatigue, crawling is just the better option compared to swimming. PBS Earth
